Wiggly Wednesday

It’s that beautiful time again, Wiggly Wednesday!

Recently, it was discovered by my siblings that I say “Wed-Nes-Day” as opposed to “Wensday”. It’s a bit funny the things we keep with us long after grade school. I learned how to spell Wednesday so many years ago I can scarcely remember, but it was, for whatever reason, a word with which I had trouble despite being a good speller. So one day my teacher showed me this way to remember how to spell Wednesday by separating the word into three separate syllables. 16 years later that is still the way I remember how to spell Wednesday and I still pronounce it that way as well.

But, my fun spelling oddity aside, today is totally a Wiggly kind of Wed-nes-day.  My suggestion for this fun Wiggly Wednesday? Eat some awesome food that you haven’t tried before, or, for those of you who’ve had it all, re-investigate a childhood favorite!

We all have some foods that we’ve been thinking of trying, but just haven’t gotten around to it. So what better time than today to release yourself to a bit of food experimentation! Try some of those foods that you’ve been thinking of for awhile, such as some fancy lobster!

Personally, lobster isn’t all that high on my list of new foods to try, but there are plenty out there who love it! So it must be pretty good if that’s your thing. Personally? I still stick by most of my childhood favorites! One such favorite being the delicious mac n’ cheese. Yum.

Yum

(Kinda makes you want some, doesn’t it?)

Or, if you’re looking for something totally different (and totally healthy) you could try something like this! Baked zucchini sticks! The photo links to the recipe. They’re pretty tasty if I do say so myself.

Meet Pepper

It’s a Wiggly kind of day! 🙂 Today being a Wiggly Wednesday I searched the lands and found an adorable pup around which to center today’s post. The cute lady in the above photo is named Pepper. She’s a friendly pup, if not a bit odd (but the best of us are). Apparently she’s deaf, but that doesn’t slow Ms. Pepper down at all. The happy pup loves to play. You might say, she Wiggles.

Pepper is adoptable  from adoptapet.com but she is just one pup in a world full of loving animals just waiting to Wiggle into your lives and reduce the stress of the daily grind. So, play with your pets if you have them or, if you can afford to adopt a new family member, why not go and adopt a pet so you can teach them the wiggling ways? Or perhaps adopt  a pet who will teach YOU to Wiggle!

Wiggle on, friends. Wiggle on.

Be kind, and do something nice for a stranger today.

Wiggly Wednesday

Get Your Wiggle On!

You know, I’ve been coming here awhile, reading these posts. And I find myself becoming slightly… Wiggly. Is this feeling natural?

Absitively! You know, it’s a great feeling when you let yourself Wiggle. It is such a great feeling in fact, I’ve dedicated a whole day every week to post about about it. Wiggly Wednesday. This week in particular I feel so very Wiggly that I decided to include the usage of phony words such as absitively!

Such things can be the very definition of Wiggling.

Wiggle away from the stress of your life. Allow yourself the Wiggle room that everyone needs, use a made up word, eat an entire pizza to yourself, play games for a day, relax in the sun for an afternoon and curl up with a good movie/book in the evening, do anything you’d like! Today is YOUR day to Wiggle!

Afraid to Wiggle? Afraid you won’t know how or what to do? Fear not! I have suggestions for you.

  • Play with your animal (dog, cat, jaguar, mountain lion, liger, pig, horse, zebra, guinea pig, ferret, bird, and so on. )
  • Relax in the sun for a day doing absolutely nothing
  • Read a book outside (In the shade or the sun!)
  • Play a friendly game or do a fun activity! (soccer, football, frisbee, tennis, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, hockey, fencing, basketball, bicycling, and much much more!)
  • Read a book with your children/spouse
  • Visit a museum/local attraction
  • Plant a tree!
  • Learn a fun fact about your neighborhood/town
  • Pick up a new magazine and see if you like it
  • Eat a meal you don’t let yourself normally have
  • Take some time off work to spruce and organize your office (or mess it up a little if it’s TOO organized!)

Those are just a few ideas for how to get your Wiggle on, there are so many options out there in the world for you. Let nothing stifle your Wiggle!

Speaking of organizing the office, I came across a delightful wall mount that will help you get organized while fulfilling that part of your soul that longs for some Wiggle. Behold! The Disorganized Organizer!

Neat Wall organizing tool.

As I’ve said before, Wiggling does not mean that you are a slacker.

It does not mean you don’t work hard.

Wiggling means quite simply and frankly

that you are you.

You are free to Wiggle.

Wiggly Wednesday

Breathe In The Fresh Air

It might not seem very important, especially for those of you who have jobs that get them outside on a daily basis. But I’d like to take today’s post to remind everyone that living on our planet is a mutual relationship between you and the rest of the living beings on the planet. It’s important for you to go outside for some amount of time daily. The sun is good for you, as is the simple act of breathing in the outside air. If you can, get away from the crowded streets, the well-lit buildings, the loud noises of automobiles constantly grumbling by.

Courtesy of Cadence Gamache, my fiancee

Deciding to take my own advice, my fiancee, her dog, and I all decided to go for a nice hike. Sky here was happy to be released from her leash. 🙂

So, take your dog for a walk. Give yourself an excuse to turn off the computer early today. Go home. Get outside. Be comfortable. Take a deep breath. Our world is a beautiful place, but it can be very easy to take it for granted. So soak it all up, take the time to be outside today, and see where you live with fresh new eyes. Do so right now! I’ll wait a few moments.

..

.

Calm.

The world is an excitingly relaxing place.

Wiggly Wednesday

It’s time to get your Wiggle on

As with the previous Wiggly Wednesdays, the inspiration for my posts comes not entirely from me, but from others in the world with great ideas, great philosophies, and just a general good outlook on life.

That outlook can come from using the scraps in your house to make a fantastic bench, it can be a blunt philosophy that helps push you to realize that everything and all the time in your life is important. No matter the inspiration source, the end result within yourself will always be the same. Being creative, and striving to be better will always leave you feeling good.

Mondays and Saturdays, save for this previous Monday where I had an emergency and wasn’t able to deliver a post, I’ll always try to deliver a post that has some form of self help assistance. I’d like to help you and, as I said with of my previous posts, on Wiggly Wednesdays I’m going to try and deliver some potentially fun things as well as interesting places to see for your wiggly times that I hope you’re all having.

Today I came across a brilliant website, and the below image will be linking to it.

Jordan Hoeft Art

The expression of art is something that will always hold a dear place in my heart, and perhaps yours as well. I’ve never been much good at it myself, but that hasn’t stopped me from doodling! But, that’s not the point of why I’m showing you the above comic art, this Jordon Hoeft fellow draws all sorts of things, takes photos, and makes films. He embodies art in some of its purest forms, and more importantly, highlights a common belief he and I have on his website.

I’m an avid believer in imperfection, I believe that nothing is perfect. Think about it, almost everything in nature and man-made is rarely perfect, but that’s what makes life beautiful. Nothing is perfect. And that’s where I find art. In the imperfect.

 Thanks for the quote, Jordon.

Nothing in life will ever be perfect. Life is as amazing as your tolerance for imperfection. Don’t let your life pass you by because you’re too busy to allow some wiggle room. If you have a passion, if you’ve got the fire for creation, go out and do it. You don’t have to make it your life to enjoy your artistic side as some do, but enjoying the parts of you that love to create will always have a happy outcome if you relax and just enjoy yourself.

You create your own sense of perfection, and with that you create where your level of contentment will be. Always move forward, and always hold on to what really matters in your life. There is the opportunity to be happy at all times during your life.

I hope you all have a fantastic day, enjoy the life you have, make every day a day worth remembering.

Be kind, and do something nice for a stranger today.
